Why include maintenance?

Some information of why it is worth including a maintenance package and points to consider should you choose not to.

Your vehicle will need servicing, ongoing repairs and replacement tyres due to wear & tear, if you're unlucky you'll also need to replace tyres due to punctures and should it breakdown you'll need the service of a recovery agent.

If you choose to include a maintenance package then all the above is included for a fixed monthly cost, if you don't then it will be your responsibility to cover all the costs as and when they arise.

Including it ensures:

  • No surprise and unwanted large bills.
  • Your are covered in the event of a breakdown or puncture.
  • You can benefit from nationwide coverage.
  • Funders negotiate very competitive labour rates and therefore overall costs should work out less than you can achieve yourself.
  • Ability to have the car collected and dropped off or use of a courtesy car.

If you choose to not include please consider the below points.

  • The vehicle must be serviced as per the manufacturers schedule, by not doing so you can invalidate the warranty and attract end of contract charges.
  • You are potentially going to be hit with sizeable repair bills.
